About this vaccine
The typhoid conjugate vaccine (TCV) protects against typhoid, a bacterial infection spread through contaminated food and water. Unlike older typhoid vaccines, TCV can be given to young children and offers longer-lasting protection, making it valuable in regions where typhoid is common, including parts of India.

Side effects & safety
Mild soreness at the injection site and occasionally a low fever, both short-lived.
Most babies have little or no reaction. Any soreness or fever tends to be brief.
When to call your doctor: if fever exceeds 40°C, lasts more than 2 days, or your child seems unusually unwell.
